Answer:  ELEMENTARY

(Are the guys getting some kind of royalty from CBS for this one???  Kinda like that Lucy Liu.  It’s a cute pun.  There were no new clue words today, and only the jumbles for “elect” and “banter” came up as new.  I thought all of the jumbles were challenging.  The answer letter layout was okay, but not great.  The setup pretty much gives you the answer, and the answer letter layout didn’t do much to throw us off balance.  The cartoon is fun, but it doesn’t show the implement, used by James, assuming he is the guilty party, to get the spit wad to the chalk board.  If I were James I’d ask for my barrister!  Be well and do good, friends.)   —   YUR

Justice is a machine that, when someone has once given it the starting push, rolls on of itself.”   —   John Galsworthy

(I think this is a little awkwardly stated, by today’s standards.  More unfortunately, the “starting push” – today – is more like Sisyphus having to roll that boulder uphill.  To me, and many like me, justice is – and should be – an ideal.  But, the world far too often politicizes it so.  Be well, do good and be just, friends.)   —   YUR
