Answer:  DIVE RIGHT IN

(Aaaw.  How sweet!  Syd as a little kid.  And, Mom and Dad are looking sprier too.  There were no new clue words today, but three of the jumbles were.  We’ve seen the one for “viable” before.  The answer letter layout was alright, but not great.  The cartoon was definitely great though.  Be well and do good, friends.)   —   YUR

45 rpm record The image is a picture of a 45 rpm record from the mid-1950s The record label contains no copyright notice of any kind. It contains a notice, “MGM–Device of Lion’s Head–Reg. U. S. Pat. Off.” In the picture, the element, though recognizable, is small and of low quality and I do not think its use as an illustration of a 45 rpm record in an encyclopedia article can be considered infringing. Answer:  GROOVY

(Dig it, Daddy-O!  There were no new clue words today, but all of the jumbles came up as new.  I had to back into “origin”!  The answer letter layout was swell, but it couldn’t hide the answer.  The cartoon is very cute.  Bouffant hairdos, poodle skirt, bobby socks, and saddle shoes.  Good stuff!  Be well and do good, friends.)   —   YUR

Answer:  NO IFS, ANDS, OR BUTTS

(A nice long answer!  Can’t remember when we last saw a 16 letter answer!  There were no new clue words today, but all of the jumbles came up as new.  The answer letter layout was a fantastic jumble that gave nothing away.  The clue/question itself, and the great cartoon, gave this one to me.  Such a filthy habit!  It’s messy and stinky, besides being totally unhealthy.  My Mom wouldn’t have Emphysema and COPD, and probably not Osteoporosis, if she hadn’t been a lifetime smoker.  If you smoke, take it from today’s character and choose to quit.  Before it’s too late.  Be well and do good, friends.)   —   YUR

(A really great, stinky pun!  It looks like we have another new clue word today, in “clammy”.  Alert ralis95!  His clue word database needs further updating.  And, it looks like all the jumbles are new today.  The answer letter layout gave nothing away, which made getting the answer very satisfying.  The cartoon was a hoot!  Be well and do good, friends.)   —   YUR

Answer:  DUKED IT OUT

(WordPress doesn’t like “duked”.  But, who cares what they think?!?!  It looks like we have two new clue words today, in “udder” and “clique”.  Although “udder” seems familiar to me.  ralis95 can chime in anytime.  Will both be added to his world famous clue word database, or just the one?  All of the jumbles are coming up as new.  Very nice answer letter layout.  I don’t think it gave anything away.  And a great period cartoon.  Very entertaining.  Be well and do good, friends.)   —   YUR
