Jumble Spoiler – 05/07/15

Visual Description:  . . . and a dollar short.

TONEF  =  OFTEN,  ANUTT  =  TAUNT,  SLIPHO  =  POLISH,  UWOTTI  =  OUTWIT   —   Giving us:  OFTTNOISOWT

Clue/Question:  The runner who was late for the start of the marathon was – – –

Answer:  NOT TOO SWIFT

(Beautiful.  Maybe it was a time zone issue, like with Geno Smith last year!  LOL!  There were no new clue words today, but two of the jumbles are new, for me.  I haven’t seen them use “anutt” or “uwotti” before.  I love “slipho” though.  I think it’s a super jumble.  The answer letter layout got the job done.  Same with the cartoon.  That’s all for today.  Be well and do good, friends.)   —   YUR

In some families, “please” is described as the magic word.  In our house, however, it was “sorry.”      Margaret Laurence

(As is the way it should be!  The word “please” is a very polite word, and we should strive to use it, more often than not.  But, there’s a sense of neediness with the word.  Almost a greediness.  But, the word “sorry”, and more specifically the phrase “I’m sorry” conveys  both compassion and empathy.  The word(s), when said with sincerity, express more than ownership for a mistake, or offense.  They express a form of understanding the pain you have caused, and a kind of seeking of forgiveness.  Both, the giving and receiving of forgiveness, are key elements of our humanity.  Be well and do good, friends.)   —   YUR
