Clue/Question: The housekeeper had leftover sausages for lunch, which she – – –
Answer: POLISHED OFF
(A little heavy on the clues today! The Polish coat of arms on the wall, she’s polishing a silver pitcher, and chances are very strong that she’s eating Polish sausage! I guess you could even argue she’s wearing a babushka, but that might be a stretch.
There were no new clue words today, but all of the jumbles have come up as new . . . again. The answer letter layout was actually very good A great jumble, that – by itself – gave nothing away. I really liked the cartoon, but the totality of the clues was a bit much, for my taste. Maybe the guys are just setting us up for a real tough stumper??? Let’s hope so! Be well and do good, friends.) — YUR

You didn’t mention the onion-domed (Eastern Orthodox?) building outside the window. 🙂 I believe you’re right about the babushka, too. Incidentally, I recognized the white eagle right away because my brother brought home a white eagle plaque from his visit to Poland.
I noticed it, but didn’t mention it, because it looked a little generic to me, John. But, I’m more than happy that you mentioned it, and you took the time to comment! Thank you. — YUR
Goodness y’all! I saw none of that and thought it might be the oval office she was cleaning. Maybe I should not be saying that out loud!
