(Ehhh!  I think this probably could have been worded better, but we’ll give the boys a one day pass on this one.  All of the clue words were old reliables, but all of the jumbles came up as new for me.  I especially liked the ones for “pulsar” and “rather”, but they were all pretty good.  The answer letter layout would have been better had a few of the words been switched around.  As it is now, you can pretty much see an abbreviation for private just a little left of center.  Switching “pulpit” with “invest” would have done the trick.  Fine military-esque cartoon.  I’m sure this put a smile on Mort Walker’s face.  Be well and do good, friends.)   —   YUR
