A very important subject, that won’t go away just because the media got tired of covering it.

“One reason I don’t drink is that I want to know when I’m having a good time.” — Nancy Astor

(Some people confuse drinking with . . . being drunk. Obviously, one can lead to the other, but it’s hardly a foregone conclusion. It’s called: drinking in moderation. Maybe she couldn’t handle her liquor, or maybe she had been victimized by an alcoholic. But, she was both a remarkable and striking woman. Be well and do good, friends.) — YUR

Answer: KICKED THINGS OFF
(Great pun! This one actually took me a few minutes to get. I kinda saw OFF first, then saw KICKED OFF, thinking those were words two and three. I was half right! Then I wrote the remaining letters: HTNIGS, and I started to . . . see things. Ooh! Finally, the correct order of things came to me.

We had no new clue words today. ralis95 can just enjoy the festivities. Five of the six jumbles were new, to me, with only “crifee” definitely being used before. The answer letter layout was – again – crafted masterfully. If it made me ponder, then I’m pretty sure it made many of you ponder too. Super cartoon . . . of course. I always like it when the boys insert themselves in the word game. Not sure who their bearded buddy is, but I think we may have seen him before. The girls are the smart ones in today’s gig. I will also miss a good amount of the pre-game shenanigans. That looks like Dan Patrick – or maybe Al Michaels – and Tony Dungy on the big screen. Great job there, Jeff.
Still not sure who Jeff is rooting for, but I know that I just disowned David L. Hoyt. You are out of the will, cuz! Enjoy the game, folks. Don’t eat and drink too much. And, if you’re out and about – and drinking – give up the keys to a designated driver. Yours truly will be safe and sound, at home, with his son and one of his buddies. As always, be well and do good, friends.) — YUR
PS. I know Boomer is not involved with today’s telecast. Different network. But, no pics came up for Dan Patrick or Al Michaels. Besides, Boomer is a class act. A little conservative for my tastes, but a solid analyst and great ex-QB. I listen to him weekday mornings, on The Fan. — YUR
