Clue/Question: The QB’s girlfriend broke up with him, but he was going to try to – – –
Answer: COURT HER BACK
(A very refreshing pun! Not the usual stinky kind. We have two new clue words today! Someone alert ralis95! Yes, both “crummy” and “chunky” are soon to be new additions to the world famous ralius95 clue word database. And, “otabu” is also a new jumble. We’ve had “puret” before. There was nothing given away with the answer letter layout. It was another master jumble! Dandy cartoon, too. I wonder who the boys will be rooting for in tomorrow’s big game? I’m hoping that Seattle can repeat. I’ve had a chip on my shoulder for Bill Belichick since January 27, 1991. Be well and do good, friends.) — YUR

Yes, ‘Master Jumbler”!! I was looking for football peak in the answer. When I found ‘her, back,’ I gathered the remaining letters and — voila!! YEA! And TWO new words! WOW!
That chip must be getting pretty heavy Unc. Since Greenbay is out, I’m all about the Seahawks! LL
I was thought there could have been a better clue and picture for the answer. They used a football clue when the answer included the word “court”. The clue should have used a basketball or tennis player, since they both play their sports on a court.
Jeremy,
You’re taking the word out of context, buddy. The answer is “COURT HER BACK”, which when you say it quickly becomes QUARTERBACK. Hence football. These are puns, son. They’re playing with the language.
