( . . . it’s a DOOZY!  Hey, there!  We have a new addition to the ralis95 clue word database, in “doozy”.  That’s a fun word, isn’t it?  I have no idea where it came from.  German?  French?  It’s probably a corruption of a word from another language.  A couple of the other jumbles appear to be new.  We’ve definitely seen “legfun” before.  I could do with a little legfun.  The answer letter layout was good, for such a short answer.  The cartoon is great, with the male tourist in shorts, and a goofy hat.  I guess that’s it for today, folks.  Be well and do good, friends.)   —   YUR

Cryptoquote Spoiler – 01/12/15

Dress a monkey as you will, it will remain a monkey still.”   —   Source Unknown

(Sorta the Dear Abby to Source Obscure’s Ask Ann Landers!  And, right on the heels of yesterday’s Jumble on The Monkees!  Coincidence???  I think not!  LOL!  I like the sing-songiness of this quote.  This is a more genteel and poetic way of saying:  You can’t make a silk purse out of a sow’s ear.  Who’s ever felt a sow’s ear?  I never have.  I imagine they have coarse hair, and aren’t very supple.  Are any of my readers pig farmers?  Write in, people.  🙂  Be well and do good, friends.)   —   YUR
