Answer:  GOOD ENTRANCE

(With just a little tweaking they could have made the answer GRAND ENTRANCE.  Don’t ask me what words to use to get to that!  That’s Hoyt’s challenge.  Maybe guard instead of “gourd”, and chance instead of “bounce”.  That probably would have worked, but thirteen letters is kinda big for the daily Jumble.  There were no new clue words today, but all of the jumbles appear to be new.  I actually had to back into “after”, and I really liked the jumbles of “bounce” and “ornery”.  Ornery makes me think of ralis95!  The answer letter layout was great because it makes you think the answer IS grand entrance!  For half a second, at least.  The cartoon does a great job showing the ornate doorway.  At least the full-sized one does.  Can’t comment on the condensed one some of you guys get.  All in all a great Jumble.  Be well and do good, friends.)   —   YUR

The most important thing is to try and inspire people so that they can be great in whatever they want to do.”   —  Kobe Bryant

(He’s in his 18th season of the NBA, after being drafted . . . directly out of high school.  He has 5 NBA Championships, and made the Finals a few other times.  He’s been in 16 NBA All-Star Games, being named MVP in 4 of them.  He’s been on two U.S. Men’s Olympic Gold Medal winning teams.  He’s played his entire career with the Los Angeles Lakers, and is their all-time scoring leader.  His career numbers are insane, both offensively and defensively.  He once scored 81 points in a single game, against the Toronto Raptors, which is second only to Wilt Chamberlain’s 100 point game, which came in an era when professional basketball was not what it is today.  He has so many accolades that it would take me all afternoon to list them out for you.  All this and he’s still only 36 years old.  Incredible.  Be well . . . no, be great . . . and do good, friends.)   —   YUR
