Clue/Question: When her plum tree dried up due to summer heat, she decided to – – –
Answer: PRUNE IT
(I guess you can’t spell prune without a pun! There’s a lot to like about today’s Jumble. There were no new clue words. Stand down, ralis95! But, all of the jumblings seemed new. I really liked the jumbling of “polish”. Placing the P and the H next to each other kind of leads you to believe that the word has a PH in it. Very tricky, Hoyt. And, the jumble for “lounge” makes you think that it could be a two, or even three, syllable word. More good work. The answer letter layout was also good, because it looks like it could be a word unto itself. The cartoon conveys a hot summer’s day, with the bright sun in the sky, and the man in the straw hat. The woman is holding a pair of pruning shears. Although, they do look more like hedge clippers. For you kids out there, who always wondered where prunes came from . . . now you know! Be well and do good, friends.) — YUR
