“The only useful thing I ever learned in school was that if you spit on your eraser it will erase ink.” — Dorothy Parker
(Does this actually work??? I had never heard of this little trick before. Maybe, it only works with those older fountain pens? Can anyone out there verify this for us? I’d appreciate it. Be well and do good, friends.) — YUR
PS. Enjoy this *bonus* other Dorothy Parker! — YUR
yes, in fact it does work – the unfortunate side effect is that if you rub it to briskly it also lifts layers of the paper – think when your skin peels – kind of the same effect:)
Yes, it does. But it does not erase the ink: It’s the surface of the paper that is worn off by the friction. Instead of eraser, we can also slightly wet our index finger and gently rub against the word, and it will be erased!
It doesn’t sound terribly subtle! Thanks, guys! — YUR
