Visual Description: Early Dizzy, in a shoppe along the Champs Elysees.
CANRH = RANCH, ROFEY = FOYER, PEHANP = HAPPEN, COSLIA = SOCIAL — Giving us: RNHFORHENSC
Clue/Question: The trumpeter couldn’t find a replacement trumpet in Paris because they only sold – – –
Answer: FLUGELHORNS (Just kidding!) FRENCH HORNS
(Cornets are also popular in France! But, the gag is clearly French Horns. No new clue words. All but “rofey” are new jumbles though. The answer letter layout is another fine jumble. It gives away nothing. The question and cartoon make the answer pretty obvious though. All you see are french horns! I like La Tour Eiffel in the background, and the snootiness of the salesclerk. I wonder if this is a young Dizzy Gillespie? Could be! Be well and do good, friends.) — YUR
