(And, he wouldn’t be just whistling Dixie either!  That is quite a tome.  Maybe not the world’s longest book, but it is definitely right up there.  I wonder if they strung together all of my comments, from these spoilers over the past six years, if I’d come close to “War and Peace”.  Probably not.

No new clue words today, but each jumble appears to be new.  They flowed pretty smoothly for me though.  I liked today’s answer letter layout.  Nothing obvious about it.  The cartoon and question kind of makes the answer pretty obvious though.  Still, a satisfying Jumble.  Be well and do good, friends.)   —   YUR

(I guess then at least one of us would be happy!  The trouble with quotations like this is there needs to be context.  The quote itself is all over the place, but there is no context.  He was a German statesman, so he must have been referring appeasement to a more powerful state.  The United States?  The Soviet Union?  Simple search engine queries got me nowhere.  Maybe some of you academic types know what he was getting at.  I’m all ears.  Be well and do good, friends.)   —   YUR
