“Most human beings have an almost infinite capacity for taking things for granted.” — Aldous Huxley
(Well . . . yeah. Sure. Everybody knows that. Actually, this might be the most appropriate Cryptoquote ever! You really couldn’t take much of anything for granted in solving this one. No single letter words, and only one two letter word. Only two words ended with an E. No double letters to play around with. And, the only punctuation was a single period. Even the author’s name wasn’t much help. Albert, Alfred and Althea were not working out. I know the author, but Aldous wasn’t even on my radar, until other things fell into place. I almost threw in the towel on this one. Great way to close out the work week! Don’t take anything, or anyone, for granted, friends. Life is too short. Too precious and fragile. Be well and do good, friends.) — YUR
Definitely a poser … “infinite” tipped me off, though, since many Cryps are broad, almost cosmic statements.
It looks like a number of people are having trouble with this one, hal. More queries than usual. — YUR
This one had be completely spooked. I wanted the author to be Anatole France. I wanted QSAYDN to “anyone.” Thanks for the solution.
I don’t check out the spoiler until a difficult quote I’ve left laying around is solved. It’s been long enough. Threw in the towel on old Aldous. Congrats
to those who prevailed. It’s been a year or two since I last surrendered. Now
I gotta be brave and face the new world of these addictive puzzles.
They are definitely addictive, Mark! — YUR
