“Absence diminishes small loves and increases great ones, as the wind blows out the candle and blows up the bonfire.” — Rochefoucauld
(This just might be the best analogy I’ve ever read! This quote also made for a fairly challenging cryptoquote. Be well and do good, friends.) — YUR
Cryp setter tried to throw us off today by omitting the “La” in front of “Rochefoucauld”! Also, it’s a neat parallel construction, “blows out * * * blows up”, an alternative translation to the standard “blows out the candle and fans the bonfire.”
