(Now, that’s a pun! Can’t imagine this one will elicit many comments. There were no new clue words today, although there were some interesting jumbles. “Bossy” is one of those words that spells out in alphabetical order. And, I struggled to get “rodent”. Hard to say why. Both of those jumblings were new, from what I could see. “Runner” is a relatively new word, but it’s the exact jumbling that was used before. Gotta switch this one up a bit! The answer letter layout did not give anything away. The cartoon did a good job getting the point across. That is all. Bye bye! – – – That’s my John McLaughlin impression. Be well and do good, friends.) — YUR
A truly excellent pun which I also recall from that old book, “Jest In Pun,” by Bil Keane. Somebody reproduced it on Flickr: https://www.flickr.com/photos/andertoons-cartoons/4547576813/in/set-72157623797103817
PS. The third word *gnawed* on me just a bit, too!
Good stuff! — YUR
