(Yes, Ben was a man of great vision.  Inventor, writer, scientist.  He was like an early American Leonardo da Vinci.  Plus, he had quite a successful career in politics.  He was the 6th President of Pennsylvania!  I didn’t even realize they had an office like that, but Pennsylvania has always been a commonwealth.  He was the Minister to both France and Sweden.  And, he was the 1st United States Postmaster General.  He was also quite the ladies man!

The clue words are all old reliables, today.  All of the jumbling, though, seemed new.  The answer letter layout was good, but could have been better.  Switching “stand” for “river” would have avoided the letter combination of VSN, which is a widely accepted abbreviation for vision.  Other than that, it was fine.  The cartoon evokes images of the City of Brotherly Love.  Ben was a big proponent of doing good, so be well and do good, friends.)   —   YUR

OK – what’s with the EIEIO again? That’s twice in recent months. It’ll soon be time for an “Old MacDonald” puzzle.

Maybe, they can do one on that Geico commercial, starring Old MacDonald! That’s one of my favorites. — YUR
