Answer:  OPERATING

(Bzzztt!!!  If you didn’t find today’s Jumble amusing then:  “Remove funny bone!”  This, of course, is a send up to the Milton Bradley game:  Operation.  It came out in the mid ’60s, but it’s still available today.  Except, now it’s made by Hasbro, who bought out MB some time in the ’80s.

No new clue words today, but all of the jumbling was new, to me.  None were too hard, but they were all jumbled well.  Splendid job on the answer letter layout.  It was another marvelous jumble.  Very amusing cartoon.  The patient on the table looks like the patient in the board game!  Doctors do use robotics for some surgeries today.  They’re not like the ones in the cartoon though.  They’re more of a precise device that the doctors control with a control panel, for getting at fine, fine things, like micro-surgery.  Pretty remarkable.  You may have seen demonstrations of it in a news segment, or scientific show.  Be well . . . and hopefully you won’t need robotic surgery.  And, do good, friends.)   —   YUR

The most common way people give up their power is by thinking they don’t have any.”   —   Alice Walker

(And this, unfortunately, is not entirely by accident.  The people in positions of power, and the governmental systems themselves, foster and encourage the feelings of powerlessness.  They want the majority of us to be a combination of:  scared, humbled, and dependent.   When you are scared, humbled and dependent you DO have NO power.  Don’t allow yourself to fall into these traps, because you DO have power.  All of us DO.  They can only hold power over us . . . if we let them.  Think for yourself.  Question authority.  Resist dependence and complacency.  Be well and do good, friends.)   —   YUR
