(Oh no!  Who could have pulled off such a dastardly deed?  Could it have been Larry Holmes???  He likes eggs.  Billy Crystal told me so.  Or, maybe it’s that girl from The Amanda Show.  She likes eggs, too.  Or, that guy, Dave Gorman.  He’s another egg lover.  Or . . . maybe it was your Uncle Rave.  Yeah, I like eggs, too!  I prefer them fried or scrambled, but I can eat them poached, if I have to.  I’m not a big fan of hard-boiled eggs though.  They get too sulfury that way, for my taste.  And also, I remember that scene from Cool Hand Luke only too well!  Have you had enough of me talking about eggs?

There were no new clue words today.  All of the jumbling was new, to me.  I especially liked the jumbling of “bounce”.  It comes off as three syllables, but the word has only one.  That’s good jumbling.  The answer letter layout was another great jumble.  I don’t think it gave anything away.  I liked the cartoon, with all three chickens with their wings in the air!  I think they were in on it.  They probably sent those eggs off to a chicken orphanage.  It was a selfless act, that only a mother could appreciate.  That’s my story, and I’m sticking with it.  Be well and do good, friends.)   —   YUR

(What an age of charismatic leaders that was!  FDR, Churchill, Hitler & Mussolini.  I don’t think Stalin was charismatic, just terribly shrewd.  If guys like this are what it takes to start and fight a World War, maybe we’re better off with most of the leaders we have now.  Obama does have charisma, but nowhere’s near as much as FDR.  As bad as things might seem, we should be able to avoid another World War with our current crop of “leaders”.  At least we all better hope so.  Be well and do good, friends.)   —   YUR
