Answer:  TOOK A COURSE

(Of course!  A golf course!  Not bad.  Hey, we had a new clue word today, in “flack”.  Our good buddy, ralis95, will have to update the clue word database.  From what I could tell, the jumbling on the other three clue words are all new, too.  I had to think a bit to get “ratio”.  The answer letter layout was another work of art.  It gave nothing away and was a great jumble in itself.  Fantastic cartoon, too.  Be well and do good, friends.)   —   YUR

A house is not a home unless it contains food and fire for the mind as well as the body.”   —   Benjamin Franklin

(I don’t know about the rest of you guys, but in my newspaper today’s Cryptoquote was set up like a wrap-around quote.  Three of the words – UNLESS, FOR and BODY – started on one line, but continued on the line below.  I suspected something was up when there appeared to be three different one letter words.  It was possible that one of them might be the poetic “O”, but that is fairly rare.  Ironically, only one of the – seemingly – one letter words was actually a one lettered word.  I don’t know if this was done intentionally to make things more challenging, and is in all the newspapers this way, or if it was just a fluky thing.  Let me know if any of you guys encountered the same layout.  Be well and do good, friends.)   —   YUR
