Clue/Question: Leaving his electric car plugged in all night made it – – –
Answer: “POWER–FULL“
(No new clue words today. All of the jumbling looked new to me, but none of them were particularly difficult. I’m guessing that some of you may have had a little trouble getting “utopia”, but hopefully not too many of you. Nice job with the answer letter layout. Nothing obvious about it. The cartoon does a fine job of setting up the answer. Be well and do good, friends.) — YUR
Well, I’ll sadly admit I couldn’t get UTOPIA, even working backwards from the obvious answer. All the more embarrassing because, as an audiophile, the Focal “Utopia” speakers are some of my favorites and a frequent personal discussion topic. All those vowels in the word just didn’t come together.
Art,
“Mama said there’d be days like this. There’d be days like this, Mama said!” — YUR 😉
UTOPIA was slightly puzzling, though we have seen it before. The cartoon frame was top-drawer, with the proud owner of the electric car looking just like you’d expect – young, hip, statistically enhanced!
The answer had me a bit puzzled. But then I was stuck on “fuel” being the last word. I saw power and could not figure out how it fit. But then I pulled out the remaining letters after taking out power—there full was!!! Oddly enough the dreaded vowel starting word — utopia –did not give me any trouble. Thinking maybe my mama tossed me that one from afar!!
I’m seeing more cars plugged into charging stations in parking garages and hospitals around here.
