“A retentive memory may be a good thing, but the ability to forget is the true token of greatness.” — Elbert Hubbard
(This must be in the vein of: forgive and forget. It’s not always easy to forgive, but it usually can be done. For most of us though, it is nearly impossible to forget. Once you get past the forgiveness aspect you generally stay in a guarded state, like the Russian proverb: trust, but verify. Can we ever truly forget a wrong, or is this just a pleasant platitude? Hmm. Be well and do good, friends.) — YUR
Unfortunately, there are things we cannot forget.
