“Winners make a habit of manufacturing their own positive expectations in advance of the event.” — Brian Tracy
(You can always tell the difference between a philosopher’s quotation, and one coming from a motivational speaker. Because the motivational speaker concentrates mainly on business people, he relies too much on the kind of language you’d hear in business meetings, instead of keeping things simple. And, too often there is this emphasis on winners and losers. It has its place, I guess. It just strikes me as insincere . . . and coolly manipulative. I’d rather show you the Brian/Tracy above. Be well and do good, friends.) — YUR
I agree, Unc Rave, a tough one, and in large part because of the jargonistic bizspeak. This week’s theme of POSITIVE THINKING continues!
Thank you, hal! I was looking for “jargonistic bizspeak” when I was commenting, but I kinda entered a fuzzy zone. — YUR
