Clue/Question: When it was time for him to pay for his game of pool, the player used – – –
English: A British standard pool table, showing a cue ball and a red/yello ball close to the (smaller) pocket. (Photo credit: Wikipedia)
Answer: POCKET CHANGE
(Some non-billiards players might not get this. But, I’m sure that this is generic enough for most to get. The pool table has six pockets, four corner and two side. It’s a great game of skill. Understanding angles some basic rules of physics comes in handy. I used to be a little better than average at it. But, that was many years ago.
There were no new clue words today, but they were all jumbled well. One of the jumbled clue words even passed the WordPress spell-check. It looks like it recognized GENNIE as a name, because it didn’t underline it in red. Maybe the WordPress people have drank beers in Rochester, NY??? Explanation upon request. The answer letter layout was sufficiently cryptic. The cartoon reinforces some stereotypes, but I like how Jeff drew the bulging pocket of change on the bald guy! Be well and do good, friends.) — YUR
UNC- Enjoyed today’s Jumble…Didn’t have any problems with It. No explanation needed on GENNIE, had quite a few GENNIE Cream Ales at S.U.N.Y Brockport..Maybe If I would have spent more time with the books and not the Cream Ale I would have graduated…. Enjoy Your Day….WIMPY
Hey, Wimpy! I thought of you when we were visiting a friend on Long Beach, L.I. We were walking on the beach, and my daughter said: *Hey, Dad. That guy fishing is wearing a Bills sweatshirt!* And, I said: *Oh, yeah. You’re right!* Then, when we were walking off the boardwalk, down the ramp, I noticed a pickup truck with Florida plates. I was thinking, could it be??? But then, I just decided it was just a coincidence. You didn’t come up North for visit, did you? — YUR
PS. So, you are well-acquainted with the Gennie “Screamers”, huh??? Growing up on the stuff, I *HAD* a certain kind of immunity. But, after being away and trying to drink Cream Ale, it started to affect me the same way. The only Gennie I’ll drink these days are when they come out with their Bock Beer, in the Spring.
UNC- No I was not on the Island. But someone wearing a Bills sweatshirt driving a Pick-up I’m sure we would become fast friends. Coming up Memorial Day for a couple of Days for a Family Function. GO YANKS….WIMPY
Drive safely, my friend. — YUR
