The two most engaging powers of an author are, to make new things familiar and familiar things new.”   —   Samuel Johnson

(Grumpy looking SOB.  I’d rather look at his lovely wife!  But, I gave her blog-time last Fall.  Very easy solve.  Be well and do good, friends.)   —   YUR

Didn’t find this an easy solve at all. Having a verb before a comma – incorrectly – was misleading, and I couldn’t justify the first word being THE for quite a while. And in general it didn’t seem to have many particularly-familiar letter patterns. Guessing that the last name might be JOHNSON seemed to open it up.
