(Marvelous, on all fronts!  Great stinker of a pun.  Wonderfully jumbled clue words.  None were new today, but the jumblings, with the exception of “inept”, were all new to me.  The answer letter layout kept the mystery going nicely.  But again, it all came down to the brilliant narrative cartoon of one Mr. Jeff Knurek.  Check out the detail, friends.  The funerary wreath, on a tripod stand.  The guest/sign-in stand, with entry book and little lamp.  The painting on the wall  –  a still life.  The nattily dressed undertaker, seated in a waiting area/foyer armchair, reading a book, entitled:  Life, by Keith Richards . . . who always kinda looks like death warmed over!  A lot of thought went into this, people.  Hope you all enjoyed it as much as I did.  Be well and do good, friends.)   —   YUR

    Great jumble and responses .

The jumble answer seems familiar. Dead Silence may have happened in
    a jumble library setting on October 4, 2012 .

I had a day of ” dead silence” both that day and today. It is all good.

    Silence works sometimes.

    Thanks to all ,

    JT

Hello, from the road! That was a pun that we kinda thought our editor was going to put the kaibosh on. She didn’t. Glad you like it. Now, back to Spring Break!
