ASORE = AROSE, FONET = OFTEN, TIMSAG = STIGMA, SANDIU = UNSAID — Giving us: OEOFTTAUD
Clue/Question: The former male model’s calendar photos were – – –
Answer: OUT–OF–DATE
(Wow! Pretty cool Jumble, huh? Good pun. Great clue word jumbling. I really liked “stigma” and “unsaid”, but even “arose” and “often” were fairly challenging. The ralis95 clue word database is going to need updating, as “unsaid” is a brand new clue word. The answer letter layout was nicely cryptic. I’m sure that some of you jumblers struggled to get today’s answer. Fun cartoon. Looks like old Bill was in college back in 1984. Does anybody remember the group Frankie Goes to Hollywood? I’m pretty sure they were a one-hit-wonder with . . . Relax! It was big at the time. Be well and do good, friends.) — YUR
Thanks YUR for another great fun one… I really could not get it and had to look but will pretend I got it anyway… Fun filled goodness… Thanks again,
claudy …… OUT OF DATE Wow! Why couldn’t I have thought of that. My problem was I thought it was one word…. not three.. Live and Learn… Stumping old people! Huh? Fun I guess for you! Okay! Next time I won’t look until I finally get it! probably….LOL
UNC- Great Jumble ….Got clue words,But the final was tough…I did get it with no cheating. I do remember Frankie goes to Hollywood, but I was more a Sammy Hagar, Van Halen , Z.Z Top guy…By the way I was only 14 years old in 84 and in Murphy Junior High School In my beloved Stony Brook Long Island… Go YANKS…Your favorite nephew WIMPY
Looks like at least a couple of you had some trouble getting this!
Hey, Wimpy. 14 in ’84? Why, you’re still a youngster! I listened to a lot of the same music you did though. That and a lot of the more New Wave artists. The Pretenders, The Cure, The English Beat, Talking Heads, etc.. I still listen to more alternative rock today. If I let myself slip into that oldies mold I might grow old! And, I can’t have THAT! — YUR 😉
Cousin Wimpy…you are a child!!! Goodness, by the time I got through the first three words I was worn out! Then I could NOT get “unsaid” and knew I’d have to back into it. RATZ–then I had to figure out the puzzle. Fortunately “of” was sitting right there in the list of clue letters I’d assembled and the answer finally came. Even knowing I needed the U and D, it took quite a bit of work to come up with “unsaid.” Good grief, talk about jumbling. Such a simple little word. Too much fun! And, I’m all but caught up! YEA!
