Answer:  GUARDING

(Nice job there, sparky!  For you readers with the reduced Jumble, you might not be able to make out what’s going on on the monitor to the right, right above the phone.  Someone is making a break for it!  But, the Barney Fife of the state penitentiary is too engrossed in a non-work related kind of guarding.  Just like last week’s bonehead broker, this guy will soon be joining the ranks of the unemployed!

No new clue words today.  ralis95 gets to take the day off.  The jumbling – like the cartoon – was a little reminiscent of last week too.  Last week we had “amazed”, today we had “dazed”.  Last week we had “allege”, today we had “eagle”.  Just yesterday we had “around”, today we had “ground”.  At least we’ve had nothing like “hidden” lately!  The answer letter layout was marvelous though!  Hoyt’s redemption?  It gave away nothing.  Jeff gave us a very detailed cartoon today.  Be well and do good, friends.)   —   YUR

Cryptoquote Spoiler – 03/10/14

Ralph Waldo Emerson - Success

Ralph Waldo Emerson – Success (Photo credit: mmc154)

There was never a child so lovely but his mother was glad to get him to sleep.”   —   Ralph Waldo Emerson

(Even tending to the best behaved child is an exhausting undertaking.  Their curiosity alone will tire you out!

I really wish they would alter the names of some of the authors of these quotes.  Making today’s:  Ralph W. Emerson, or R. Waldo Emerson, or just R. W. Emerson would have made today’s cryptoquote just that much more challenging.  I try not to look at the author, but sometimes it is unavoidable.  When the author is this obvious it’s like having a key to decoding the cryptogram!  It takes away half of the fun!  Be well and do good, friends.)   —   YUR
