“After an era of confrontation, the time has come for an era of negotiation.” — Richard M. Nixon
(I think he actually started out with the best of intentions. I think he became a victim of the quote: “Power corrupts, and absolute power corrupts absolutely.” — Lord Acton. I think losing to Kennedy caused him to harbor a deep, deep bitterness, that when he finally was victorious, led him to an overwhelming sense of entitlement, that is very dangerous for anyone who holds that high an office. Even so, he had some very impressive accomplishments. Be well and do good, friends.) — YUR
i found this one to be really tough. After putting THE after the comma, it was discouraging to find a three letter word beginning with E. Sure, there a few of ’em but not normally in these cryptograms. I ground my way in circles for an embarrassingly long time.
It took me some time to get started on this one too, Art. I was also liking YAO as THE, so the next word looked like a lock for TIME. Then, I had a strong feeling that the J was the A, and I was able to see AFTER, which led me to ERA. But, initially I also questioned a three letter word starting with E. It was definitely a toughie! — YUR
Glad I wasn’t the *only* one who took a while to get a toehold on this cryp. I had suspected the author’s name might be RICHARD, but I was hesitant to enter a 3-letter word ending in A, other than BRA, which I thought was more suited to a TV commercial than a cryptoquote …
LOL! There is always TEA and SEA and PEA also! — YUR
