Answer:  LIVING ROOM

(His room full of LIFE!  TV showing a live sporting event, his wife asking how his day was, his kids at his feet . . .  Ya can’t get much better than that.  Well, maybe a nice cat or dog next to one of the kids would have really iced it.  And, if you have the full sized Jumble, you should see that his kids are playing The Game of Life!  These are clues with a bit of nuance!  Splendid jumbling today.  We even had another surprising new clue word, in “blind”.  The word has probably been part of numerous answers, but this appears to be the first time it’s been used a clue word.  One more for the ralis95 clue word database!  And the answer letter layout was sublime.  Nothing to suggest LIVING ROOM the way these letters played out.  Great job of making the dad look beat!  A fine Jumble indeed!  Be well and do good, friends.)   —   YUR

After an era of confrontation, the time has come for an era of negotiation.”   —   Richard M. Nixon

(I think he actually started out with the best of intentions.  I think he became a victim of the quote: “Power corrupts, and absolute power corrupts absolutely.”   —   Lord Acton.  I think losing to Kennedy caused him to harbor a deep, deep bitterness, that when he finally was victorious, led him to an overwhelming sense of entitlement, that is very dangerous for anyone who holds that high an office.  Even so, he had some very impressive accomplishments.  Be well and do good, friends.)   —   YUR
