(I bet you’re glad you didn’t see a question mark, or something other than the word “spoiler”, in the subject line today!  I know I’m glad I didn’t need to do that!  This might have been difficult for people who are not from the Mid-Atlantic states, or otherwise are NOT familiar with Philadelphia.  The clue words were all jumbled very nicely.  Did anybody do like me, and start to write in WRATH for the first word?  I got three letters in, and I’m like:  Uh oh!  The good thing was that I realized my mistake right away, and re-wrote “thwart”.  We actually had two new clue words today, in “cackle” and “swampy”.  ralis95 has more updating to do, to his world famous clue word database! The jumbling of “thwart”, “engine” and “resume” were all new to me.  I thought that the answer letter layout was another masterpiece, on Hoyt’s part.  Another long answer, but at least today there were more vowels to work with.  And of course, it was a super cartoon!  Three of the four major Philadelphia sports teams were represented, and Geno’s is the most famous shop in Philly for those cheesesteaks!  Do you think we should break it to her that she’s eating horse meat???  Just kidding!  Be well and do good, friends.)   —   YUR

PS.  I know a lot of guys go crazy for these sandwiches, but I’d rather sit down to a plate of wings, or a nice rare beef on weck!  None of that overcooked, well-done crap for me!      YUR

(Such a chick statement!  LOL!  Of course the manly, male, macho, masculine response to that is:  My idea of heaven is a big, juicy steak with a big baked potato . . . and a couple a beers.  Be well and do good, friends.)   —   YUR
