Answer: (11 Letters Long!)
I HAVEN’T DONE THIS TO YOU GUYS IN QUITE A WHILE. TODAY’S JUMBLE SEEMS TO BE PERFECT FOR THIS BLAST FROM THE PAST! SO, WITHOUT FURTHER ADO: WELCOME TO THE UNCLERAVE WISEGUY OF THE DAY CONTEST! I KNOW TODAY’S ANSWER . . . BUT I DON’T FEEL LIKE JUST GIVING IT AWAY, TODAY. I WANT TO SEE HOW MANY OF YOU GUYS ARE AS BIG A WISEGUY AS I AM. SO, WRITE IN AND TELL ME THE ANSWER. TREAT ME LIKE A PUNK, WHO DOESN’T REALLY KNOW THE ANSWER, OR JUST RANT AND RAVE AT ME FOR PULLING A STUNT LIKE THIS. THE FIRST ONE TO COMMENT, WITH THE CORRECT ANSWER, WILL WIN THE TITLE OF: UNCLERAVE WISEGUY OF THE DAY! DAVID L. HOYT AND JEFF KNUREK ARE NOT ELIGIBLE TO PLAY . . . OBVIOUSLY. ANONYMOUS COMMENTS WILL BE POSTED (providing content is not too violent or obscene – my call), BUT WILL NOT BE ELIGIBLE FOR THE COVETED TITLE OF: UNCLERAVE WISEGUY OF THE DAY. BONUS POINTS WILL GO TO WHOEVER “SHARES THIS” POST THE MOST! HOW WILL THAT BE DETERMINED? BEATS THE MERDE OUT OF ME! (Yes, this is pretty much an exact copy from the last time I pulled this stunt.)
Not bad. Not bad. We had 21 entries this time around. Yes the answer was OUTSTANDING. The first to ring in with the correct answer was Susan Robinson! (She beat out Joe Key by 4 minutes.) That makes Susan Robinson the UncleRave Wiseguy of the Day! Sue can proudly post this to her resumé, brag to all her friends, and one day tell her grandchildren about it. Everyone who participated was so kind! Our old pal, JT, gave the most thought out and lengthy comment. Thanks, JT! And, thank you to everyone who played along! — Your Uncle Rave
(There were no new clue words today, but some very interesting jumbling. I didn’t struggle with the number one – “tenth” – today, but I did with “podium”. I thought I was going to have to write out all possible arrangements of letters, I didn’t want to back into it, but it came to me as I walked out of the room. Even “again” might be hard for those who have trouble getting words that begin with vowels. For some reason, I saw “dismay” right away. I thought today’s answer letter layout was PERFECTION! It’s the main reason why I’m reviving – at least for today – the UncleRave Wiseguy of the Day contest. The cartoon was also fantastic, and it doesn’t contain any kind of Bonus Clue! The only bonus clue comes from one of the words in the Clue/Question. Best Jumble in quite a while. Be well and do good, friends.) — YUR
“Dismay” gave me problems. The other words I got right away. Still haven’t figured out the answer.
You are just too “outstanding” for words..

Art
OUTSTANDING
If you were an upstanding citizen or had an understanding about Jumbles you would know they were standing out in the rain to see an “outstanding” movie!
outstanding
OUT
the answer is: outstanding
Outstanding
Well, I finally got the solution, but I don’t know how to write to you. How do you do that?
word is “OUTSTANDING”
Wow what a day! The wife and I had the annuaL accountant tax appointment this morning. What followed was a plan to visit a special place to eat in town after the business was done.( Our treat . )
When we got there ( before it opened), we had to wait in line outside the front door.( There was a long line for the place. )
The food and service was just ” outstanding”.
I was glad to get home and relax. My goal was to finish this jumble in peace. I had ” skirted” some clue words when I went out the door earlier ( without really looking at the cartoon. )
While getting the clue word circled letters together, I had a thought that maybe the cartoon suggested ” citizenship” .
With no “z” around , that was over.
I saw ” out” , and then the ” ing” piece .
That was it. ” stand” just stood out.
Then , ever so slowly , I realized we had just experienced this
jumble only hours ago !
That is one vivid and live jumble experience.
Absolute thanks to you YUR !
( This is an ” outstanding” jumble and blog )

Outstanding
Answer is OUTSTANDING
Thank you all, for playing along! Only patris took a little shot at me, with his/her answer. Some were very nice, like my old friend, JT. I think JT has been looking in on this blog at least as long as ralis95! Maybe, even longer. The contest didn’t result in the biggest day, this time around, but did account for nearly 2300 views! Hope you all had fun! — YUR 🙂
I attended an OUTSTANDING conference that kept me going from this past Thursday through yesterday. And, on Thursday, I had trouble with the first jumbled word (tenth) and didn’t have time to work out. So, today I started working on the puzzle from the 20th and am playing catch up (how nice of my husband to save me all of the papers!). It certainly was an OUTSTANDING puzzler! I so hate I missed the Wise Guy of the Day contest, but since I was already hung up on the first word–and slowed down with podium and the answer, I would not have medaled in this event! On the answer I went with ing as the ending..just had to be (she said hopefully) — then had to play around with the other letters…voila — OUTSTANDING!! YES, grand puzzler. JT — I circle letters too!
