Clue/Question: The street vendor told her it was an authentic handbag, but she wasn’t – – –
Answer: BUYING IT
(Excellent Jumble! No new clue words, but they were all jumbled beautifully. If it wasn’t for “unfit”, I might have had a little trouble getting “unpaid”. And, I always look forward to a little “idiocy”! Very good job on the answer letter layout. Nothing obvious there. Boy. Jeff’s cartoon really makes the vendor look creepy! Most of these people are impoverished – many of them immigrant – folk, just trying to make a buck. They’re the low-men on the totem pole, as far as product piracy goes. I know it’s still a crime, but if these designers didn’t charge such exorbitant prices then there wouldn’t be the need for the imitation market. This is one of the reasons why I always chuckle when someone tries to argue that they’re only charging what the market will bear. Like with CEO’s salaries/compensation. Multiples of 300 to over 1000 of their average employee’s salaries??? To me, that is a clear sign that the market is broken! Or, at the very least, has been terribly corrupted. This nonsense has to change. We all deserve better. Be well and do good, friends.) — YUR
