Clue/Question:  Sometimes, painting in the wintertime requires a – – –

Answer:  SECOND COAT

(Every paint I’ve ever used said to not apply if the temperature was below 50° F.  Of course they are coming out with new products all the time, so you never say never!  I just consulted the hard copy ralis95 clue word database, dated 12/31/13, and have confirmed that “glossy” is a new clue word!  The other clue words were jumbled just as nicely though.  The answer letter layout was fantastic.  Nothing given away there.  Great cartoon.  Just a little weird.  Be well and do good, friends.)   – – –   YUR

PS.  I’m liking the Seattle Seahawks in tomorrow’s NFC Championship Game.  A tough defense, homefield advantage and a balanced offense led by Marshawn Lynch‘s running should be able to handle Kaepernick and his bunch of fellow hot-doggers.  Looking for a relatively low scoring game.

The AFC Championship Game is a tougher call for me.  I’m rooting for Denver, but I’m not sure their defense is up to stopping LeGarrette Blount.  He is starting to remind me of Earl Campbell.  He’s like a run-away freight train.  Plus, there is no discounting Brady’s talent, and that Belichick is an evil genius.  I’m just hoping Peyton can put up one more TD than the hated Pats.  Should be a high scoring game.

The 12th Man should should be a factor for both of the teams I’m rooting for.   —   YUR

(Laughter is always the best medicine . . . for whatever ails you.  Do it daily.  Even if you only laugh at yourself.  It’s especially important to laugh at yourself.  Life is too short to take yourself so seriously.  Be well and do good, friends.)   —   YUR
