Clue/Question: He struggled to lose weight because he always had – – –
Answer: “WEIGH“ TOO MUCH FOOD
(Wow, a 16 letter answer! Pretty impressive. No new clue words today, but plenty of new jumblings, for yer Uncle! I’m thinking all the jumblings were new, to me. I especially liked VEWLET. It always takes me a minute or two before I consider a spelled out number! We haven’t had “hairdo” in quite a while. “Asylum” is always tough for those who have trouble with words that start with vowels. “Fiasco” is always fun too. I initially had “growth” wrong! I wrote in WROGHT – as in WROUGHT – and didn’t even catch it until I solved the answer, despite having an additional W and T, and lacking a G and the all important H. Even so, I thought the answer letter layout was splendid. Nothing was given away there, even with my errors. It’s a little strange having the word WEIGH in the answer, when the word WEIGHT was in the clue/question, but I guess the quotation marks just gave it away for me. Tons of fun! I know I eat way too much, myself. I’m going to need to start dieting, some day soon! Be well and do good, friends.) — YUR
Is it me or asylum doesn’t work currently 😉
Sorry, buddy! My typo. I need to replace the T in the jumble I posted with a Y. Good catch! — YUR 🙂
A good Sunday puzzle. Puzzled me for almost two days!. Yes, asylum was a bugger! And so many letters to solve the puzzle, with the dreaded ” ” …. but I got it! Good one. Thank you!
Haven’t seen such a difficult Jumble in awhile. For the longest time I had only solved one word! Came back to it the next day, whereupon “hairdo” jumped out at me instantly. Love it when that happens. Sometimes I try to look at the scrambled word in its totality, and just kind of relax my mind, and sometimes I’ll get it that way.
