(Kind of an awkward phrasing of a sentiment that I believe we all should ascribe to. I attribute it to the late 19th, or early 20th, century mindset of the author. Anybody and everybody can teach someone something – sometimes many things – that they did not know before. And, in that alone there is value. At least he didn’t refer to them as the little people.
