Visual Description: Medieval home renovation.
BALMU = ALBUM, TIGDI = DIGIT, TOBYAN = BOTANY, VIETIN = INVITE — Giving us: AMDTOTAIVE
Clue/Question: When it came to protecting their castle, they were – – –
Answer: “MOAT–IVATED“
(This is an excellent pun! I loved it! People who don’t like puns probably could NOT solve this one. GOOD! I have no patience for people who think they are too good for puns. The clue word jumbling was great. Only “balmu” was a recycled jumble. We even had a new clue word today, in “digit”. Whoda thunk it?!?! The answer letter layout was positively inspired. If you didn’t pick up on all the sight clues, solving this from the answer letters alone could have been quite a challenge. But, the cartoon and verbal clues set this up very nicely. Be well and do good, friends.) — YUR
