Answer:  DOMESTICATED

(Kind of a derivative type pun.  Domestic.  Domicile.  Home.  Dogs were the first animals domesticated by man.  It’s alright.  Just not one of our usual groaners.  No new clue words, but I liked the jumblings of “stomp” and “taller”.  The answer letter layout was superb.  I’m not familiar with this comic, but I’m sure it’s very amusing.  Nice job, Dan.  Be well and do good, friends.)   —   YUR

I never make the mistake of arguing with people for whose opinions I have no respect.”   —   Edward Gibbon

(But sometimes it’s hard not taking the bait!  You want to smack some sense into these dimwits, but you might as well be talking to the wall, because you can’t reason with the unreasonable.  Be well and do good, friends.)   —   YUR
