(Pretty cool!  Great clue words, well jumbled.  I had a little trouble getting “tandem” . . . again, and with this exact same jumbling!  Surprisingly, it looks like “weakly” is to be a new addition to the ralis95 clue word database.  The answer letter layout is exceptional.  Very cryptic.  The big clue was in the cartoon . . . under their very feet!  Very satisfying Sunday Jumble.  Be well and do good, friends.)   —   YUR

I liked this one a lot, too. Just right, challenge-wise. Got the first word, then got the puzzle. After that, I couldn’t get any of the other words. I actually backed into five words! It’s fun that way, though, sometimes.

Oh my goodness Bev, backing into five words!!!

Well, I messed around with weakly for a while and finally figured it out. I thought I had the puzzle answer — Walk in the Park — got it right quickly even though, as always, all those letters glaring at me intimidated me for a minute. BUT, “Walk in the Park” did not match my clue letters. I did not have 2 “Ks.” I figured I carried a letter down wrong….not! Today I finally had my husband check my work against the answer…..guess what!!!! My newspaper had the second to last letter in weakly as the circled word … and that gave me a “L” for my last clue letter, not the proper “K.” And where could I go with that????

Is that not crazy!! And I guess our paper was the only one? And why, how can that happen?? When I’m stuck, I’m always thinking there has been a mistake made in the puzzle, and there never has been. This was a first.

Backing in is sometimes more laziness than difficulty. If you jump the gun and read the cartoon, before doing ALL the clue words, then I can see that happening. Every now and then some newspaper screws up the circling. This might be the first time for you, LindaLee, but it happens occasionally. And, this could have affected more than just your newspaper. You’re the first to report it here. Others might have complained directly to our Jumble buddies.

You’re calling me LAZY??? Hmmm. Well it’s true I didn’t work on the words for very long. But… nah, it’s just in my nature to finish the Jumble as fast as I can, using all the clues I have, I don’t think I’ll stop doing that.

And, that newspaper getting the circles wrong is CRAZY. I guess maybe a wrong version gets sent to newspapers, and then the error is discovered and a new version sent to newspapers, but some of them don’t print the right one.

LOL, Bev! Whatever floats yer boat. The German in me loves ORDER! “Things in place, and everything just so.” (Can anyone name that tune?)

Hi Linda! Send us a photo of your puzzle and the name of the paper. I just double checked the file that the papers received and it had everything correct. I can’t understand why and how a paper could do that.
