Answer:  LEAVES LEAVE

(Not exactly a stumper, but overall there was a lot to like with today’s puzzle.  No new clue words, but I did have a little trouble getting “elect”.  I also thought that “abacus” was jumbled nicely.  A unique answer letter layout!  The cartoon told the whole story today.  Be well and do good, friends.)   —   YUR

    An unusual description….you have falling leaves, turning leaves, changing leaves….first time I’ver ever heard “leaves leave”!! As always, grand puzzle! Beautiful pic, the colors!!!!
