(I don’t put much stock in today’s anchorpeople.  They know they’re a dime a dozen, so they dutifully read/say what they’re told to say.  They never question anything.  Never give anything like an honest opinion.  They know there’s another pretty face, just waiting in the wings so they toe the line . . . or else!  It’s like Don Henley sings, in Dirty Laundry:  “Well, I coulda been an actor, but I wound up here.  I just have to look good, I don’t have to be clear.  Come and whisper in my ear, give us dirty laundry”.  In stead of actual/factual news, they give us tawdry sensationalism.  And, they’ve done such a good job of telling us that they’re only giving us what we want, that way too many of us actually believe it now.  It is a sad state of affairs, folks.  It’s a key element in the dumbing down of America.  Murrow, Cronkite, Huntley and Brinkley, and Harry Reasoner must be spinning in their graves.

No new clue words, today.  None of them were jumbled too difficult today, too.  I liked the answer letter layout though.  That was good.  Great cartoon too.  Looks like the one guy is wearing a hat known as a boater.  Yer uncle looks like crap in just about any kind of hat.  Probably because he’s got such a fat head!  Good thing he’s been blessed with an ample head of hair.  Be well and do good, friends.)   —   YUR
