Creative minds have always been known to survive any kind of bad training.”   —   Anna Freud

(I wouldn’t be surprised if this particular belief ran contrary to her dear old papa’s.  I think if any mind was to overcome bad training it would have to be a creative one.  But, that certainly doesn’t mean that every creative mind can do so.  Be well and do good, friends.)   —   YUR

(Uh oh!  Jeff and David are likely a bit peeved with yer uncle.  With Thursday’s posted Jumble Spoiler, I – inadvertently – gave a clue to today’s answer, by referring to ABC’s Wide World of Sports.  Of course, today’s answer is a play on words to the second part of the slogan that the show made famous, during its opening credits.  “The thrill of victory!  And, the agony of defeat.”  Who remembers what constituted  the agony of defeat???  I’m sure that plenty of you know this.

No new clue words again today, but everything was nicely jumbled.  I especially liked the jumbling of “banter” and “utopia”  Maybe some of you came here to get the unscrambling of “ipouta”.  I wouldn’t be surprised.  It’s a fairly tough jumble!  The answer letter layout was sweet.  No hints there.  And, a swell cartoon.  Be well and do good, friends.  Enjoy the remainder of your weekend.)   —   YUR

(No new clue words . . . yesterday!  But, we had some nice jumblings just the same.  I liked them all . . . yesterday.  Good thing it’s the weekend, and I have the luxury of posting the Saturday Jumble a day late!  Great job on the answer letter layout.  Nothing given away on this silly little pun.  Fine cartoon, too.  Be well and do good, friends.)   —   YUR
