“And the star-spangled banner in triumph shall wave; o’er the land of the free and the home of the brave!” — Francis Scott Key
(This one was tougher than it looked! At least it was for me. This is from the last stanza of the U.S. National Anthem. It’s heard very seldomly, as we usually hear only the first stanza. Very appropriate for the celebration of our Independence Day, here in the U.S.! Everybody have a safe and happy holiday! Be well and do good, friends.) — YUR

Boy, you said it. That weird apostrophe’d word really complicated things, didn’t it?!
I’m trying to find what was wrong with the ocean liner picture the other day, but every time I scroll your page down to that point, the screen suddenly blanks trying to download something from a twitter.com URL, and hangs.
Art
I agree. It was a tough one. I initially focused on ‘o’er’ but just couldn’t make it work. I then took a chance with ‘and’ due to its frequency and despite its position as an opener. Things then started to fall into place.
I enjoy your website.
Art & Ergo,
I think we were all figuring on “I’ve”, but couldn’t make it work with what would eventually become “free”. Art, nothing on my blog links to the actual Jumble. You might be running into an ad or something. Ergo, thanks for commenting and the kind words.
