Clue/Question:  When he finally had a chance to go around the slow car, he couldn’t . . .

Answer:  PASS IT UP

(Too tired to check if there are any new clue words.  Maybe tomorrow/today.  I liked the jumbling on all of the clue words.  Great job, Baldy.  I mean David.  Good job on the answer letter layout, as well.  Great cartoon, Jeff.  Rick and JT caught that there was no sinking sailboat  in yesterday’s cruise ship cartoon.  Looks like Jeff is making up for it today!  Be well and do good, friends.)   —  YUR

Uncle Rave…I just wanted to say Happy 4th of July! I hope you have a great day. My parents flew up a few days ago for my Mom’s birthday yesterday. We’re going to a cookout today.

Thanks, Hoyty-toity! Back at you with the holiday sentiments. Enjoy your time with your parents. I’m down to just my Mom, and she was recently diagnosed with lung cancer. Add that to her Emphysema, COPD, follicular lymphoma and recurring bladder cancer . . . and we’re all just trying to prepare for the inevitable. She thinks it has already progressed to her brain, so even if she were strong enough for major surgery – which is doubtful – she has decided that it would just be an exercise in futility, at this point. We’re just hoping she can make it to her 80th birthday, in November. Enjoy their company, bro. When they’re gone, they’re gone. And then you’re nobody’s “little boy” ever again.

Enjoy the cookout, and belated birthday greetings to your Mom!

Unc, I am so very sorry to read about your mama. She will be added to my prayers. With mama being in and out of the hospital lately I’ve also thought about being no ones little girl any more. And no my dear sweet baby boy doggie has had a stroke and things are not moving in a good direction. We get to visit him twice a day. The doc keeps telling us to give it another couple of days. He can’t stand or walk, the stroke hit the top of his brain stem. My heart is broken.

And, we’ve just finished moving..OMG, boxes everywhere. So, I’m once again playing catch up!

So sorry for your heartaches, LindaLee. Sometimes when it rains, it really seems to pour. Life seems to like throwing us these multiple curves, from time to time. Bad always seems to come in bunches. It’s not fair. It hurts. But, we usually find a way to pull through it.
