(Not a bad little pun!  It’s been quite a while since we’ve seen a hot-air balloon cartoon.  Nice job, Mr. Knurek!  No new clue words today, but I thought they were all jumbled well.  I didn’t need to back into any of them though.  The answer letter layout was alright, but it could have been better.  You can see PLA, with an N just another few spots away.  And, there’s a BA and a CK kinda staring you in the face, too.  Maybe Hoyt was a little rushed on this one.  I know he’s got a lot on his plate.  Be kind to your fathers this weekend.  If they’ve passed, remember them fondly.  Be well and do good, friends.)   —   YUR

No regrets. No looking back. Just hold onto life and move forward. We have no way of knowing what lies ahead…and that is what makes the journey even more exciting. (Photo credit: deeplifequotes)

(Very few men get to live the life that they meant for themselves.  For those that do, I wonder if they consider themselves fortunate, or perhaps a little bit trapped?  Hmm.  This quote makes me think of myself, of course, but more so my father.  After my parents’ divorce he bounced around from one relationship to another.  He was married again for a while, then single for a good bit.  Eventually he ended up in a long-term, common-law marriage with a good woman, but I know he had so many regrets.  It makes me sad to think that he died so seemingly unfulfilled.  Be well and do good, friends.)   —   YUR
