(Fantastic!  I think there was a fairly high level of difficulty with today’s Jumble.  I struggled to get “urchin”, and as it turns out, the last time we had this clue word it was with the exact same jumbling.  Some of you – no doubt – had some trouble in getting both “astray” and “induct”.  And, “system” was no gimme.  It turns out “heaven” is going to be a new addition to the ralis95 clue word database.  The answer letter layout was done masterfully.  I had to think a bit before coming up with the answer.  Fun pun, and a great Jeff Knurek cartoon.  Great Sunday Jumble, Hoyt and Knurek!  Be well and do good, friends.)   —   YUR

Every great and commanding movement in the annals of the world is the triumph of enthusiasm.”   —   Emerson

( . . . and, an unbiased, non-manipulative press.  Today’s corporate media could downplay, and marginalize, the second coming of Christ.  They’ve successfully numbed us into submission, by hyping fear and placating us with the myths of security.  Without risk and trepidation life is not life, it’s simple existence.  Do you want to merely exist, or do you want to live?  Be well and do good, friends.)   —   YUR

(Marvelous!  Seasonally appropriate.  And, it’s not the Yankees!  Sorry, Wimpy.  I would have personally preferred to see the Orioles, but I’m not complaining.  Another really great day of clue word jumbling.  I really liked the jumbling on “audio” and “goalie”.  Had to think a bit on both of them.  And, we have a new word for the ralis95 clue word database, in “flawed”.  Not a damn thing wrong with the answer letter layout, today!  Great drawing and a decent little pun. The only way you may correct the bad things in your past is to add better things to your future.   —   Shiloh Morrison

(Kind of a nice sentiment . . . in a greeting card kind of way.  A bit nonsensical though, when you think about it.  The word “correct” is the sticking point.  Probably a better word, in this instance, would have been balance.  I’m all for second chances and redemption and forgiveness, but you can’t really undo bad deeds by doing good ones.  You take the good, you take the bad, and then you weigh everything, and see which side of some dividing line – probably a fairly subjective one – you place.  Hopefully, you’re further to the good.

Normally, I add authors’ names to my list of Tags, but – from today on – I’m going to reserve this practice only to authors that I can – with some certainty – qualify.  Facebook pages and Linkedin just won’t cut it for me.  Be well and do Good, friends.)   —   YUR

Answer:  ENLIGHTENED HIM

(No. I’m not psychic, folks.  Psycho maybe!  I had no idea the guys were going to run a puzzle using such an illuminating word.  LOL!  I wonder if Anonymous is still tuning in?  All the clue words were expertly jumbled, today.  And, we even had a brand new clue word, in “tirade”.  And, wasn’t it smartly jumbled?  The answer letter layout was pretty good, but it could have been better.  Great cartoon though.  That’s about it for today, folks.  Enjoy the weekend.  And as always, be well and do good, friends.)   —   YUR

You may not realize it when it happens, but a kick in the teeth may be the best thing in the world for you.”   —   Walt Disney

(Figuratively speaking that is, folks!  Please, don’t go around kicking people in the teeth, thinking that you’re helping them out.  We’ll just end up with a lot of grumpy, toothless people.  Be well and do good, friends.)   —   YUR

Answer:  BOILING MAD

(Outstanding!  Great pun.  Well jumbled clue words.  Excellent answer letter layout.  And, a swell cartoon!  Can’t ask for much more than that, folks.  Maybe a non-bought and paid for SCOTUS would be nice.  But, I guess they’re just doing what they’re paid – under the table – to do!  Alito, Kennedy, Roberts, Thomas and Scalia might as well be wearing NASCAR-style advertisements on their robes.  Their slogan should be:  Making sure the rich keep getting richer, and the rest of us know our friggin’ place!  Be well, do good . . . and pray for our country, friends.)   —   YUR
