Clue/Question: The captain of the plane was late for work after spending too much time as an . . .
Answer: AUTO PILOT
(Loved it! Decent clue word jumbling, though none of them were new. I thought “impala” was fairly difficult. The answer letter layout was very cool. Nice pun and a great drawing. Be well and do good, friends.) — YUR

Uncle, I just realized that I never sent you the link to “Proposal Jumble” that the guy used to propose to his wife. You had ask to see it and I forgot to respond. Here’s a link to a close-up look at it on Facebook in case you still haven’t seen it.

Nice pic of my hometown airport. Good to talk to you the other day – I see from the pics on FB that you survived the party. Our Granddaughter graduated from Cal State Long Beach on Thursday; quite a day for us all, too, including the after party.
Best to C.

@ David,
Thanks, bro. Someone beat you to it, though. But, this facebook version is even bigger! Thanks for remembering though!
@ ralis95,
I’m still recovering! Been sick all week. This is how my graduation weekend went: worked a full day Friday, went to the baccalaureate mass Friday evening, back and forth from my daughter’s dorm because C and my daughter’s boyfriend’s mother’s feet hurt, move daughter’s refrigerator and remaining junk, then went for a walk down Arthur Avenue to a restaurant recommended by the head priest/dean, only to get there 5 minutes after their kitchen closed (9 PM). Then walked to another restaurant that would have preferred that we didn’t show up that late, but took us anyway. The waiter was very cordial and friendly, but the service was definitely slow. We got outta there around 11:30, and the boyfriend’s family was going to have to wait for a late train to take them back to their hotel in New Rochelle, so we decided to drive them there, about 25 minutes out of our way, which tacked on ANOTHER 25 minutes to our ride home. So we get home about 1:20, walk the dog, clean up a few things, and finally get to bed a little after 2 AM. Now, the graduation ceremony is set to start at 10 AM, but they tell you if you want to park on campus you have to be there by 8. So, we set the alarm for 5:00, like every workday, and get out of the house by 7:10. Got there a little before 8, went to a nearby diner for breakfast, got back in time to get to our seats, sat through 2 hours or so of the group graduation, and another hour of the specific school graduation (multiple campuses). Then pictures, pictures, pictures. Then drive down to China Town for an early (5:00PM) dinner with my family, my daughter’s boyfriend’s family, both my stepsons and their families. Then walk around Little Italy for about 40 minutes and finally drove home. Got there around 10:30. Walked the dog, went to bed. Had a decent night’s sleep, but woke to hear that my stepson wanted to have a barbecue at our house for some of his buds and their wives and kids. Did that business, then had to get dressed for a dinner party sponsored by my daughter’s boyfriend’s family. It was all the way down in Bridgewater, NJ, one exit past where I commute every workday. That’s where you reached me. That lasted to about 10:30 or so. Finally got home about 11:45, walked the dog, cleaned up a few things, got to bed around 12:30 +, only to get up at 5:00AM for work. Been exhausted all week. Got a good night’s sleep last night though!

Wow!! A heck of a lot more complicated than I ever imagined from our phone conversation. No wonder you were tired. Take a weekend off and come soak in our hot tub. We’ll put tri-tip on the bar-bee and keep your glass filled with margaritas.
OMG Unc….what a weekend. Except for the exhaustion angle, it sounds like a wonderful, family filled, memory making weekend!I don’t know that I would have survived. This was a great cartoon, but at first I didn’t get the put..I was thinking “auto pilot” as on the airplane. It did hit me a few minutes later that he was driving an “auto.” I got that right….right???
