(This was about par for the course.  It definitely wasn’t a birdie, an eagle or an ace!  But, what golfer – amateur, of course – wouldn’t be happy shooting par?  I don’t think there were any new clue words.  However, the clue word jumbling was very good.  I liked “ounce” and “affect”.  Nice work, Mr. Hoyt.  The answer letter layout could have been amore cryptic, but it was alright.  The usual great cartoon from Mr. Knurek.  Back in the days when I used to hit the links, there were few things more frustrating than playing behind a foursome of amateur females.  And I’m sure, from their perspective, all of us male golfers were just too darn impatient.  Be well and do good, friends.)   —   YUR
