Visual Description: Dick Tracy putting the clip on the clasp clepto.
HEYON = HONEY, POTIV = PIVOT, MERVEO = REMOVE, SUINGE = GENIUS — Giving us: HNPITROENI
Clue/Question: After tracking down the stolen brooch, he had all the evidence he needed to . . .
Answer: PIN IT ON HER
(Classic gumshoe speak! I wonder where the expression comes from? They’ll never pin it on me! What is the etymology of “pin it on”? Does anyone out there know? Nice jumbling of the clue words, today. I especially liked the jumbling of “genius”. I had to back into it. Some days I just have no patience! Not sure if any of the words are new. I kind of doubt it, though. I think the answer letter layout is fantastic, today! No giveaways. I got kind of a 1940s vibe from today’s cartoon. Good stuff, Jeff. Be well and do good, friends.) — YUR

Hi! What was the puzzle answer for the April 1st puzzle? Thank you! Ruth
“CON ARTIST” It’s out there, Ruth!
I’m home and caught up through this puzzle…I am loving the Dick Tracy review!!! Good job. PIvot and genius took a few….began to think they were diabolical…but not quite.
What’s with all the Dick Tracy kukai? Enough already. Have they run out of ideas?
If I were a betting man, horowitz, I’d say we’ve seen the last of it, with today’s puzzle. But, what is “kukai”, friend?
