Visual Description: Head count in the prison yard.
INOON = ONION, HATSS = STASH, PECULO = COUPLE, UCORAG = COUGAR — Giving us: ONNSSCECU
Clue/Question: When they counted the prisoners, the result was a . . .
Answer: “CON–CENSUS“
(I liked today’s! The first three clue words came to me immediately, but I struggled some with “cougar”. Enough so, that I thought I could easily back into it by going straight to the answer. But lo and behold, I didn’t find the answer as obvious as I usually do. I had to go back and figure “cougar” out on my own. I didn’t need to write out various letter combinations, like I sometimes do. It did just come to me, like the other three did. Even with all the answer letters, I had to think a bit on the answer. I knew it was CON-something. It took a minute or two for the CENSUS to sink in. And, to think that I worked on the Census in 2010! Funny how it go, sometimes. Huh?!?!
Decent answer letter layout, and a great Shawshank cartoon! Be well and do good, friends.) — YUR

Nice catch on the Shawshank! Here’s hoping that spring will be sprung soon.
I got the words unjumbled pretty quickly. Pretty surprising because after I got the words my first thought was, wow, these words were really hidden in how they were jumbled, how did I get them? I did have to circle cougar, but saw it immediately when I did that. The answer –.ugh — quotes usually stop me in my tracks–kinda like an immediate mental block. I had a cell something going, but where were the Ls??? Did finally decide that con was the first part of the word and somehow late this after noon got the whole thing.Clever!! Now I’m working on today’s (29th) —–
